Description: Handmade booklet of 48 vertical format digital photos of 28 pairs of toilet doors from various public places in the city of Prague, Czech Republic, indicating the male/female gender in an original way, both in their background and in their shape.
Topics addressed: the symbolic and stereotypical representations of gender that pass through different elements: linguistic (Madam/Sir, Girl/Boy), biological (chromosomes, genitalia), behavioural, and social gender markers; the relevance of binarity; one's own identification with each of the symbols; the difficulty of being able to fully identify within one of the binary boxes and the exclusion that results from it.
